The Halal Guys - Avondale

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food at this restaurant. It was delicious and fresh, and the atmosphere was pleasant. Additionally, the prices were reasonable. While the service was not the best, it was acceptable. This is why I would give this restaurant a four-star rating instead of a five-star one.

I decided to visit this restaurant because my job had ordered their food, but I don't think it was from the same Halal Guys. This was my first time trying their food. The food looked appealing, but unfortunately, I was not satisfied. I observed the employees putting together my order which consisted of a bed of salad, a bed of rice, a small amount of tomatoes, a tablespoon of gyromeat, a tablespoon of chicken, and two small pieces of pita bread. It seems that you have to order double to receive a portion that matches the picture on the menu. I saw another customer ordering double of everything to make his meal look like the picture. I ended up paying $15 for a salad and rice. Overall, I will not be returning to this restaurant or recommending it to others.

The manager is fantastic, but the rest of the staff are immature. They consistently get my order wrong and I have to repeat it multiple times. My wife and I order a combo plate and a gyro plate without tomatoes, but they always include tomatoes in the gyro plate and I have to ask them to remove it every time. This lack of attention to detail is very unprofessional. It seems like they don't care about their job and have no passion for serving customers. It's possible they are not being paid well because their attitude reflects a lack of motivation.

I gave a pickup and the meat was old, dry and hard, could not eat it. I called and was offered more food or a refund. Because I was far away, I just wanted a refund. I had to call back three times because the manager wasn't there, apparently, a week later, no refund. The last time I called the person I spoke with was super rude, I just wanted my refund. I'm not trying to be difficult or dismaying. I paid for food. I would just avoid this place together.

The food was great ,the fries are crispy and golden brown the way they should be. No old grease here. Try the spicy chicken. The topping are crisp and fresh. Delicious. Get the hot sauce on the side, it?s no joke
