I 'm not a huge fan of German beer, but they have a decent selection of Belgian and Trappist beers...Delirium, Orval, Duvel Single, Chimay. The Orval was served in its matching glass. As others have said, the food is pretty average, but crucial inorder to not get completely wasted. The Reuben was decent. The bread was the best part. The German potato salad was not bad butkind of disappointing. The pretzel (with salt and cheese) was served nice and hot. The place definitely has a regular vibe andcaters towards locals. The bartender was not what I would call friendly, but he at least offered me a free shot of Jameson likea professional.
Wowza! I had the pheasant mushroom and Parmesan sausage. It was??.AWESOME! Helped that my Belle (Hannah who is my 24 yr old daughter) was singing live tonight. The food was excellent. Oh, I also had a pretzel with some homemade cheese. Amazing. ThanksEin Prosit. I?ll be back for sure.
Great selection of German 'biers ' and some very tasty sausages to go with your biers. You definitely want to go with a Sausage Sampler plate to share. We liked the Prosit Oktoberfest beer brat the best, closely followed by the Kaise Krainer Cheese brat. Having been to Germany, we were disappointed in the Gurken (cucumber) salat and the German potato salat they could make thoseso much better to be more like the actual German versions. Overall, a fun beerfest atmosphere, to include the German festtables and benches. Definitely recommend for some fun/relaxing apres ski. Enjoy.
Incredible beer selection but average to ok food. Standard to exotic sausages, something for most carnivores. A smattering of veggie options but realistically this is a meat eaters joint. Fun and open decor with 2 patios for great outside seating. Niceplace off the main drag in Avon.
