Le Bistrot Du Cabestan - Avignon

Awful. Absolutely awful experience. We stopped by for a bite to eat before a show for the Avignon festival. We had to wait 40 minites before anyone would even look at us. The waiter went to efforts to ignore us. Finally we were served. We were only offered either vegetarian or meat plate. No choice even though they had signs for other meals around. We waiting another 30min for our food of which they forgot our drink which we were trying to hail down the waiter for. The food was a mashup of leftover type dishes mainly green salad, all the food was cold. We went to pay after and got into an argument with the waiter who was extremely rude when we questioned the wait time. He said everyone has been waiting an hour. We were left feeling deflated, cheated and unsatisfied. DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.

Stumbled upon it a little by chance their table with the menu of the day made us want and we did not regret it! Homemade and absolutely delicious Italian food! Very pleasant and warm team, I recommend!

The food is as good as the owners are adorable. A great time on a weekday evening in this place that exudes good humor. And not to mention the quality and freshness of the products, arranged with a grain of mischief from the chef!!! A trip to Italy in the heart of Avignon. To try without hesitation ;

Sens a very beautiful Italian, welcomes you with an Italian accent that transports you, then to Rome. we don't eat there any more than well, we don't drink there as well, and Laughs well too, finally I recommend it to you. Superb surprise at the bend of a street outside the hustle and bustle of the pure center. Excellent cuisine with fresh products and equally good service. Very very good time with a family atmosphere on this Sunday noon.
