La Cour D'honneur - Avignon

Food was good and we had a nice table, but the staff seemed overwhelmed. Food took forever, and a very nice 15 year old bottle of wine was opened and left on the table for 45 minutes. Never decanted, nor presented for tasting. When dinner finally arrived, I just poured it. It was fine, but I thought it deserved better.

We booked here at short notice and so glad we did! The food was so good, and excellent value. Lovely and reasonably priced wine. Service was excellent too, friendly and efficient (but not rushed).

Refined cuisine, wines out of price, even abused!!! Super frame

This restaurant was a great find. It was away from the more touristy area (about a 6 minute walk) and had a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Although it was quite a windy day we were able to sit outside in the lovely courtyard (hence the name of the restaurant) which is behind an attractive stone wall with trees in the courtyard which makes it feel like a garden. There were 8 of us and we were a bit late however the waitress was very welcoming and friendly and soon had us seated and served with a welcome drink. Everyone was happy with their food selection (which is not always the case with a group of 8), which was varied, looked great and very tasty. It was a great lunch and as organisers we got a 10 out of 10 from the group!
