Los Mexicanos - Ava

The best place to eat Mexican food in Ava. The food is consistently good. Melvin does a good job keeping the food and drinks served at the appropriate time. Looks like they're painting and sprucing the place up. Our favorite.

A friend invited me to lunch here today. I'd never been in this place before. I was very disappointed with the food. The two star rating is for the cleanliness and atmosphere nice music and a good waiter. There was salsa and chips on the table when I arrived, and I was very hungry. The salsa was good, but the chips were extremely greasy. The food came quickly. My friend's plate didn't look like what it was described to be, it looked more like scrambled eggs. I can't comment further on her food because I didn't taste it. I had the tostada platter. The guacamole was fresh but absolutely bland. They forgot to put the onions on it. The tomato was the most pale shade of pink you can imagine, and the edges of the lettuce were brown. The rice was way too salty, and the beans were literally spoiled and inedible. I probably will not ever return to this restaurant, and if I do, I will have coffee and nothing else.

I love this restaurant!! We're planning on going there for our anniversary lunch. They have the best Nachos Loco! It has surprisingly tasty flour chips and we usually get 1 order and 1 margarita each, and share the order of Nachos.. I would highly recommend this place for anyone! Five stars barely does it justice in my book!!

This place has new owners and the improvements are phenomenal. The salsa is excellent and the food is wonderful. Our waitress was very friendly and kept checking to see if we needed anything. I will definitely go back.

My son and I are originally from Southern California, there are countless numbers of really great and 5 Star authentic Mexican Restaurants there. Well I am writing to tell you that Guacamole Mexican Restaurant is wonderful and the food is authentic Mexican Food. There are so many dishes to choose from, including a very delicious Mexican American Vegetarian Menu and a Full Bar. The hospitality is friendly and professional with great big smiles to go with the entire wait staff, cashier and chef. Don't be fooled by Ava's small town, home town local.
