Contribuiți la feedbackI'm a frequent customer and love the patio and the fact you're dog friendly. Service and food is always great but I do have one recommendation is to increase/change your wine selection. I wish you had a NZ sav blanc as an option and had more Rose/bubbles options. Personally I think the wine options aren't enough; however, that won't stop me from visiting. It's a great neighborhood spot.
Cheesecake was amazing so I ordered a 2nd to take home. Happy hour menu Tacos are a bit small! C'mon Z... step it up. Add a 3rd taco, it won't kill your profit margin. Outside was pleasant with misters running. Server was excellent.
Good menu of choices, I had the enchilada and they were only okay. Nothing overly special but nothing necessarily wrong. I will say the spicy cucumber jalapeño margarita wasn't as flavorful as expected so was slightly disappointed in that. Service was good, they have a cute outdoor area and have weekly evening activities (movie Wednesdays, live music Sundays, etc). It was good overall but wouldn't necessarily be a place I would continue to choose as my go-to.
The service was a little slow but it was Mother's Day and they were busy although the restaurant was not totally full either don't know if it was a problem in the kitchen or with the servers or whether there was a staff shortage. I would also say the noise level inside is kind of loud the sound bounces around and it's a bit difficult to hear the conversation at your table. While the food was very tasty and nicely presented I thought the portions were a little small for the price. We've been long time customers of Z'Tejas since it first opened up in Austin many years ago and sorry to see the West 6th Street location go. Bring back the pecan chicken and goat cheese salad please! We still like the unique recipes and flavors of the menu so we'll give it another try next time on the patio which looked lovely and probably not so noisy.
Used to love this place, but sadly this was a pretty big disappointment. Seared tuna was overcooked so much that the slices were stiff. Tostada bites were fair but missing some of the garnish that they have been using as of late. Brunch item was fair at best. Overall, I spent a truckload of money and walked away with a pretty poor experience. Probably the last time I ever go back.
