Nissi Vegan Mexican Cuisine Vegmex

The restaurant is nice, clean, and the staff is nice. The food was subpar and not that great. I was very surprised bc there are soo many reviews saying how good the food is, which is why we came to eat here when visiting Austin. I was not impressed at all. The food was very bland and not flavorful at all. I tried the beans first and knew I was not going to be able to finish the food. I hardly ate my food and my husband said he couldnt tell the difference from the Fajita taco and the pastor flavor. I also tried his fajita taco and did not like the flavor at all. I have tried food of this same concept (mexican vegan food) in other cities and have honestly had much better food other places than here. I was disappointed because the photos of the food look so good and look good in person but flavor does not match the appearance. Also just a side note the music is way too loud in the restroom. Like it was blasting in my ears.

As a vegan, I really appreciate being to dine somewhere delicious without asking for substitutions. I had the flautas plate which was scrumptious, as well as fresh and beautifully presented! Highly recommend I will be back

Food is fantastic, HOWEVER it would be nice to see them address other elements of sustainability, like a place to refill water bottles (rather than having to buy their plastic ones). It'd also be amazing if they offered composting for dine-in guests; the majority of their packaging is already compostable (aside from the plastic spoons and tiny side containers for salsa, maybe more) so if a few swaps were made then everything would be streamlined!

This place was amazing the food selection was vast, an all vegan menu is full of great dishes,i had the burrito with carne asada. I’m definitely becoming back try all of their dishes

I picked up food from this place and our food was ready 15 minutes after the declared time. The single street tacos are super tiny, not worth the price and really bad tasting. Would not recommend. Calling things vegan to add a surcharge is clearly the scam of the hour. The burrito plate (cheek’n) was better tasting and the portion was for a human.
