I genuinely have a great experience every time I’ve gone there, until today.I wasn’t even in there 2 minutes, asking 2 questions, and the blonde big lady behind the counter seemed like she not only hated me but hated the job. Definitely left a sour taste in my mouth. And trust me, I was very happy to tell her that she seemed over the moon to be alive today. Definitely don’t need people like this in any service industry job. Aside from her, I have had a wonderful encounter with each cashier until this!
I just moved to this neighborhood and was so happy to find this in walking distance. They have an auto espresso machine that makes lattes, full kitchen with Mediterranean and breakfast menu, Alec’s ice cream, and a great little grocery option. For $8-$12 you can get a great little dinner/lunch. As far as neighborhood shops go I couldn’t have done better… I love this place. It’s a little bit of a bummer that my dog has to wait outside for me, but I totally get it.. I don’t want dog hair in my beef schewarma.
Out of about 10times my order has been right about 2 times. This last time I got the chicken over rice salad.... Didn't get any rice... Not having the rice just threw everything off... I had high hopes.
Inedible. Maybe I caught them on a bad day. I don’t know. But the shakshouka was terrible. And it tasted weird.
Really racist experience with staff and owners. I used to go all the time when I lived on the East side and had really loved the woman who worked there but the men are always blatantly rude to me and give me strange looks. I plan on telling any person of color especially woman/female presenting to steer clear of this place if you don’t want to feel unsafe.
