Contribuiți la feedbackThis is one of the best sushi spots I've tried in Austin. I ordered the spider roll, Teresa, dejavú, and el dorado. My top picks were definitely the Teresa and el dorado. I will definitely be coming back to try more sushi from this restaurant. Food: 5/5
The location was easy to find, and as soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted by Jenny. With our hands full, she kindly helped us by getting high chairs for our little ones, and we struck up a conversation. I mentioned that we brought the girls to celebrate their birthdays—one had already passed, and the other was coming up on the 28th. To our delightful surprise, Jenny came back with strawberry-flavored Ramune for each of our children! I was truly touched—it's such a thoughtful gesture that you don't see often these days. We ordered various dishes, including beef bulgogi, different types of sushi, K-pop chicken, vegetable tempura, and edamame. Everything was incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious! My favorite sushi roll was the Shangri La; it was rich and creamy. Jenny even provided toddler-sized silverware so that our little ones could eat with utensils that suited their small hands and mouths. After we finished our meal, I looked up to see Jenny coming out with spoons, desserts, and lit candles! We sang to the girls, and Jenny took my phone so I could join in the moment. It was such an exciting experience, and we all enjoyed the delightful sweets afterward. Once we were all full, we chatted with Jenny, who shared great recommendations for places to visit in Dallas, since we're planning a trip there as well. Before we left, we also had a lovely conversation with another kind lady and a gentleman, whose warm smiles were truly heartwarming. We are big supporters of family-owned businesses like this one. I wish I had caught their names, but the little ones were getting tired and fussy, so we had to rush back to Waco for their bath and bedtime. Our experience at Mikado Ryotei was simply wonderful. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was both beautiful and comfortable. As we don’t get to go out much, knowing that this restaurant is very family-friendly meant a lot to us. I can't recommend Mikado Ryotei enough. Thank you all for making our girls' birthdays so memorable. It's really the small gestures that leave the biggest impact. We'll definitely be making another trip to visit soon! Vegetarian options: We enjoyed edamame and fried vegetable tempura. While we are not vegetarians, we do love vegetables. Kid-friendliness: They truly went above and beyond! Parking: The location was very convenient for guests of all ages.
Fantastic food and wonderful people! The dishes are delicious and consistently high quality. They've also broadened their menu to include Korean cuisine. Food rating: 5/5.
Got the couple's sushi boat. Decent deal for 2 hungry, completely platonic lads. Didn't come on a boat though, so -1 star.
I don't like seafood, technically... So you'd think I wouldn't like this place. But that seaweed salad is AMAZING and the Katsu chicken is so good.
