Luby's - Austin

It is the time of the year again where I make my way to Luby?s to enjoy the LuAnn Turkey meal with potatoes and stuffing. Fortunately, I still have a Luby?s right on the road from me, where many have closed. The place was busy and in the line to see a long range of food choices. It seems as if the only restaurant where you can grab a tray and put your food in plates and bowls. After I got my turkey flour, it was time to pay. This is another unique experience that cannot be found elsewhere, where you can rely on (as I remember) $10 on your meal where they give you back cash to use as your tip. It is polite to put your tip on the table before it eats so that the staff member (back on the day it was an old lady who presses a car to fill your drinks) can see it. So they know they serve you well. The turkey was cut and very tasty together with the sides. If you expect a gourmet, then not for you where this place is designed for older people, where they want to eat something without belly problems later with hard spices and spices. The bread here is debatable, but my role was beautiful and soft. Overall great place to bring the family or take your parents.

My daughter for her birthday meal because she had a free dessert coupon. As usual, the meal was great. When I'm 76, I don't eat so much that I had enough for a second meal. I loved her pulled pig.

Beautiful little picturesque zoo . Not many animals, but enough to keep you interested. There was also a nice little train ride. Peacocks roam free and you are allowed to house the lamas, deer and goats.

The food was great. The place was super clean and beautiful.

I'm so disappointed in tonight's service due to the fact that no extra to go containers was used to separate my food items. The cabbage should've not been scooped on top of the chicken fried chicken, and the okra on top of the cabbage. This is unacceptable, but shame on me because I should've examined my plate before I left the business. I like Lubys, but this kind of service just makes me want to stay away for a while! Look before you leave to save yourself from being upset like I was.
