Jacoby's Mercantile - Austin

First time in Austin and I wanted to get some good food. I found Jacobys and I'm a southern boy so I wanted some biscuits and gravy. I got the biscuits and gravy and it's a starter on their menu but it's really filling. I got 2 large biscuits and the gravy was hot to server. Overall it was really good. Biscuits was kinda cold in some areas of the biscuit. I could tell it was made early in the day and they heated it up before serving. But the heavy was hot, see pictures and video. I then ordered the fried steak and waffles and that was really good but it was too much after the biscuits. Its a meal for two maybe three lol. See pictures and videos. The only con was there was no wifi and my service was pretty bad inside so I had to walk out to do this review.

Brunch was excellent, though the beef hash was a little light on beef. Great waitress and atmosphere, too. My only complaint is that the outdoor chairs were regrettable. Will definitely go again.

The food and drinks here were unique and amazing! Worth treating yourself for a special night out. Our server Vinny was also fantastic he found the perfect balance of being attentive and anticipating our needs/giving recommendations, and giving us space to enjoy our meal and conversation. Will definitely be back!

I went there for my birthday dinner last week and it was great. I love the Christmas decorations and the food was excellent.

Some of the best Brussel sprouts I’ve had! The burger was delicious too. Great service and a great patio with heaters for when it’s cool
