Counter Cafe - Austin

Love this place for a casual breakfast. Feels secret and the staff is always so friendly. Take visitors here for great atmosphere and food. The cookies and gravy and the blueberry pancakes are always a highlight for me, can?t go and not get them.

I ordered the roasted vegetable sandwich with frits. The sandwich was delicious. The roasted vegetables and cream cheese were a good pairing. I wasn't a big fan of bread. I think it would have been better on a Ciabatta bread, but that's just me. The Pommes were great. Perfect crispy and salty. I wanted to try the freshly squeezed lemonade, but they were out. The atmosphere was good and the counter sat cool. You can see how your food is made or you can sit at a regular table.

Eat here for the first time! I ordered the French Toast Special with chocolate almond milk. Nice part and I was full of haha. My friend ordered steak and eggs!

EDIT: Second time in the countercafé and it is really to die. The Joes Special is my favorite item in the menu. Everything is super tasteful and comes fast. The hotcake is the best pancake I ever had. The staff is super friendly and attentive. You must come here if you're in Austin!

Super cool local breakfast place. Had the crab cake eggs benedict, was super good. Great service and an all around fun place to be.
