1886 Cafe Bakery - Austin

The waitress seemed indifferent to our presence. Perhaps that's common in Austin.

The restaurant is in a stunning location, perfect for impressing out-of-town guests.

My family and I had a delicious breakfast. We all ordered different meals and my husband only mildly complained that his salad accompanying is avocado toast only was lettuce with nothing mores. My spinach scrambled eggs with goat cheese and house fries excellent!

I had a fantastic experience at the Driskill hotel. The 1886 cafe bakery was excellent - the service was great and the food was even better. The cinnamon roll we had for dessert was a standout. I highly recommend this place!

Lovely setting combined with the food made a great dining experience. Our waitress was not engaged and was less than enthused to answer any questions about the menu, others would have received 5 stars across the board.
