He is usually there on Friday?s and Saturday?s. So much aloha. Btw, the laulau actually has buttered fish, just like home. Poke is served on Friday?s but you have to get there early because it gets sold out.
I've been wanting to go to this place for over a year. I should have gone sooner. I had the Korean Chicken! It was very good. This L&L Mixplate seems to have more local Hawaiian Entres like Mochiko Chicken, Garlic Chicken, Pastele Stew and the other L&L plate lunch staples. The dining room is larger than the L&L on Cedar. Same owners, different offerings. Thank You for opening a restaurant like this. L&L Hawaiian Mixplate is a lot better than a McDonalds.
Tasty food. Even though the meet was sitting in juice/sauce it was a little dry. The flavor was good though. The prices are about average. Their noodles also were not greasy like many other fast food places.
3rd time now, I asked for no gravy because I'm allergic to it. The place is trashed and the floor is covered in black tar, nasty.
The food was great, but the service was terrible. For example, the server according to my receipt Tricia was the only up front. She appeared disorganized and apathetic when tending to back orders piling-up. I noticed a lot of people waiting for their food as she toiled. When she finally took my order, I waited over 15 minutes and even finished my drink. When my name was called for my order, I kindly asked for two sauces and server Tricia ran off into the back never to return. I waited another 5min when a cook came out and handed me to sauces from a fridge within arms reach of my view. Tricia did not appear new, as she talked about her personal life with a customer while people were waiting to be served. This Hawaiian food is apparently served from a middle-aged white lady from Buffalo NY, Tricia. I got better service from the McDonalds that use to be there.
