Century Asian Cafe - Aurora

The restaurant serves Hainan-style Chinese cuisine, but my experience was disappointing. The quality and portion sizes didn't justify the prices. Service was slow, and the atmosphere was quite loud due to the other patrons. The server seemed unfamiliar with the ingredients in the entrees, and I struggled to find the chicken pieces in my dish. The owner was too preoccupied to come over and address my concerns. There were very limited options for vegetarian and vegan customers. When she finally approached us, she had difficulty communicating in English. I cannot recommend this establishment. Additionally, the karaoke was excessively loud, and the furniture was worn, with shaky tables. If the restaurant continues to operate in this manner, it is likely to fail, which is unfortunate. I'm not sure what the market potential is for this specific type of Chinese cuisine.

This restaurant offers some of the best noodle and rice dishes I've ever had. We tried the beef brisket noodles and the chicken rice, and I was truly impressed by the quality of the made-to-order meals that feel so homey. Although it's primarily a karaoke venue with a secondary focus on dining, I was pleasantly surprised that the food was not just overpriced bar snacks as I initially feared. I’m eager for our next visit to explore more dishes with friends and family, but the ones we tried were truly outstanding. The flavors were perfectly balanced — not too salty or bland, and the portion of protein was generous. It was definitely worth the price! We had no trouble finding a seat since most people were there for karaoke rather than dining. The setup is in what used to be the lobby, so space is a bit limited, but we were seated right away. Parking is convenient as it’s located in a shopping center.

We arrived at 9:45 PM with three friends, eager to enjoy some drinks and sing our favorite songs. I must mention that the young man who welcomed us was very pleasant, but he didn’t inform us that their karaoke system was quite disappointing. To put it simply, there was a screen filled with non-English characters and lots of images of bands whose music wasn’t available. If you want to sing Fugees? Not an option. Dolly Parton? Nope. Sublime? Not happening. None of the usual songs were accessible. Plus, searching for tracks was a challenge since we could only input the first letter of each word in the artist or song title.

I really enjoyed this restaurant. The hot sauce they offer has a nice level of heat, and the portion of brisket is quite generous for the dish. The place is very clean, and the service is quick. I would definitely return.

This is hands down the best noodle spot in town! In fact, it’s the best noodle place I've ever visited! I’ll definitely return every time I’m in Denver!
