Contribuiți la feedbackI stopped by because of the reviews. Trust and believe it was well worth the stop. Randi is amazing. She is very attentive and has a very, very pleasant and friendly personality. I was greeted at the door even though they were super busy. They made it a point to acknowledge all the customers that came in. The chefs, whew!! They worked hard and were plating the orders fast. Everything I ordered was made fresh. I had the Brunch House Benedict. It was great. The owner ensured he made rounds to see if everyone was enjoying their visit. All I saw was smiles. It is a great place to visit and enjoy some good food. I was very impressed with how smooth the crew works and the atmosphere is amazing. Thank yal so much for a wonderful breakfast that made my heart happy. Oh, I had a plain order of French toast that cured my sweet tooth. Goodness, it was so good. I love good food and good vibes!!!
Based on the 4.5 star reviews, we decided to try this breakfast spot. The location on Greene Street seemed like an ok spot, but the two storefronts next to the diner were not pretty. When we walked in it definitely had a old diner feel to it. The ceiling plaster was peeling over the food prep area and there was a light fixture with broken glass over the countertop.I was still optimistic. My over easy egg was ok, slightly still runny egg white, the bacon was very crispy (which I don't mind), and the waffles seemed flattened, not big and fluffy, as I had imagined. The other platter's over easy eggs were overcooked, almost burned, the ham was chewy, and the extra $3 we spent on the french toast was a disaster. They were raw inside. We were really disappointed as the menu looked so appealing. I will check the images more carefully next time. The staff, however, was super kind, helpful, and cherry, and we really appreciated that!
Best biscuits and gravy I’ve ever had! The apple stuffed French Toast was heavenly. To top it all off the staff was amazing!!
We visit Augusta a few times a year but will only eat breakfast here. The food is delicious and a true gem! Be sure to get there early for a table as it is a small place but wait if you must. It's worth it!!
I'm always on the prowl for new diners and places for breakfast and brunch. And as anyone who follows my reviews knows, I'm a sucker for hole-in-the-wall places. The Brunch House has a simple exterior and decor that does not mince words for what it is. A quick diner to stop at for a nice meal. It has small seating and a small kitchen, so that tells me that if you come when it's busy you will have to wait a little while, but if you arrive when there aren't many customers service should be prompt. The menu doesn't have much on it, but I view that as a benefit rather than a detriment. It tells me that they focus on doing a few things right rather than doing a lot of things subpar just for the sake of having a large menu. And that's not to say that there isn't customization for what is available.I had the biscuits and gravy, and it was some of the best I've ever had. The biscuit had been buttered and toasted, where most places just leave them dry and rely on the gravy to provide taste and texture. They also offer two types, pork or turkey gravy, and the gravy had a different spice blend in it than most others, giving it a slight red tint rather than the normal gray gravy. Also, it is a little less firm than some other places, so if you are a purist who cares about those sorts of criteria, consider one of their other dishes.I definitely will put this restaurant into my breakfast option rotations.Parking: It is the downtown area, but since it's off the main street, you should be fine. The nearby lots are reserved, though
