Sista Sista Soul Food

Growing up in the south, I'm used to good real soul food. This is an attempt at it, but does not quite deliver. The chicken is quite good if you get it hot and fresh at lunch. The yams are ...bland. There is no cinnamon, nutmeg, spices , so it's just a yam and sugar. The macaroni and cheese has sugar in it so that's just NOT ACCEPTABLE ! OMG! This food was so delicious! I am so happy about how good the food was we will definitely be back! We got the ribs Mac and cheese and yams! So good it was amazing! We also got the smothered chicken cabbage and green beans just so good! Everything was well seasoned and tasty I can't wait to go back also the pound cake was great too! Definitely give this a try it is delicious

If you eat here you clearly don't know what Soul Food is supposed to taste like. The pork chops were dry and the restaurant looked very grimey. Was tentative about eating her in the first place. Should have followed my instincts.

It's Carla's Kitchen now, and she is amazing. I highly recommend stopping by. You will not be disappointed. All the food is great, but I highly recommend the oxtails over rice, mac and cheese, collard greens, and hot water cornbread. Wish I had pictures.
