Blue Oceans Fish & Chips Augusta

In May, we had the pleasure to use your Function Room. The venue was effectively set up, catering to the needs of a large crowd. The bar area, tables and chairs, and the tea, coffee, cake areas were thoughtfully managed. The sound system, audio visuals was very professionally set up and very much appreciated. Your staff were lovely, kind and good at their job. Producing food consistently and clearing with equal enthusiasm. Thank you Augusta Hotel for your kind, efficient and professional service.

The accommodations are basic and very dated but immaculately cleaned and serviced. Unfortunately the walls are thin so do be mindful of other guests. The real star of the show is the restaurant. While the menu is very basic, the steak is fit for royalty and the specials are usually appealing and bring the variety lacking in the everyday menu (but get in early for the specials as they go FAST! . The service in the bar and restaurant is absolutely exemplary. The staff are competent, relaxed and friendly and sincerely go out of their way to address any issues. Having dinner here is a joy.

24/6/22: Great, old fashioned, country pub. Huge dining room with excellent views. The beer garden is one of the best in WA. The meals are real value for money (see photos, that is a pint glass! and the beer is reasonably priced. Really friendly and helpful staff. I try to get here at least once every time I am down south. A fantastic place for an authentic pub meal and Swan Draught on a sunny afternoon.

Stayed here for a week. I was the only person in the block. A bit of a view of the Blackwood River and ocean but not bad for the price. Helen was on reception when I got to the hotel. Very nice person. So was Joy the cleaner and very keen fisher person.

Ate here for lunch recently. Really good sized pub dishes. Calamari was big, juicy and tender best we’ve had in a while. Incredible views.
