Contribuiți la feedbackTo D D who wrote a review two months ago, I hope you know (and to anyone who might read her reply and need a second opinion) 45 minutes minimum is actually a good wait time compared to the average restaurants around Augusta like Texas Roadhouse for example with even wait times I've experienced coupling up to almost 3 hours, especially since other reviews call her a one woman show. Texas Roadhouse is still a good restaurant, some might argue much better, but I just needed an example. I don't know why you're expecting fast food. Additionally, it's pretty bigoted to say East African establishments are more preferable than other African restaurants that are likely to be West African. It just sounds like ignorance of an American who thinks they can choose their culture, but that's just me. Hey, you might just have a bias because your ancestors are East African, even if that's unlikely. Instead of traveling to Atlanta, actually travel to a specific place in East Africa, they obviously have more to offer there. It's not hard to look up about wherever you want to visit, we live in an age of the easiest ways to get information, the digital age. Like, two clicks away from being able to get monstrous amounts of info. That's all I had a problem with.
They gave me only three tiny little plantains, the rice was mediocre, and didn’t fill the jellof rice enough. I paid in total $16.80! What a ripoff!
Entree was great, beef and rice had superb flavor. My issue was I ordered and was told it would take a bout 35 minutes for the food to come out. I was ok with that. But my food actually came out 75 minutes after I had ordered. 35 minutes I can deal with, 75 minutes is a little absurd, especially seeing how the beef patty is literally the ones you find in the frozen foods at Walmart and CostCo.That said, the food was amazing.
Sally's a one woman show! I had no idea she was working solo, taking orders and cooking as well, but I'm impressed by her services, the food, and her wonderful attitude! Our meal took longer than I'm accustomed to, but taking everything in account I understand why, and it was worth waiting for: hot, fresh, and full of flavor and attention! Please be patient if you come here, relax and appreciate the time and energy given to prepare your dish, you won't be disappointed! And she didn't skimp on the ginger in that beer!
I was excited to try this place, but unfortunately I never had the chance to taste the food. After spending nearly $60.00 expecting to dine in, after 45+ minutes of waiting, I eventually approached the counter and requested a refund. The male cashier was nice enough to issue an apology but the female from the kitchen who came to issue my refund came to the cash register talking on the phone taking another order, didn’t offer an apology, and didn’t even make eye contact.I don’t care if this is the only African restaurant in Augusta. I will not be back and I do not recommend this place based on the wait time, subpar atmosphere, and poor customer service. I will gladly continue to travel to Atlanta to patronize the African food spots there—specifically the East African establishments, which is my preference anyways. If you want to try this restaurant, then order your food to go or be prepared to wait 45+ minutes for dine in.
