End Zone Pizza Deli - Augusta

The best pizza I have had in a long, long time. Friendly atmosphere and delicious food! I think I found my new favorite place!

This place is a busy little pizza shop. While we waited for our cake, we must have seen 20 people coming and going. The pizza has a ton of cheese. If I had to guess, I think there's provolone mixed. Sauce is good. Crust is good. I'm going back.

Grew up in the Sidney/Augusta region, Whippers was always a treat and so was their sibling shop, Damon's (which I prefer). But I grew up again. Whippers continues to offer excellent food. I don't live in the area, but when I visit, I try to get a Big Whip to share with my employees. They are always amazed by the size of the Big Whip, with the great choice of bread. Whippers continued with their excellent service and comparable prices. One of the best subshops around.

The End Zone is a football-themed diner that provides dine-in service (with around 6-8 tables), takeout, and delivery options. Their menu features a variety of items, ranging from wings to pizza, and they have several coolers stocked with soda. I ordered the wings in sweet chili (similar to General Tso's), jalapeño poppers filled with cream cheese, and a Buffalo chicken calzone. The wings were fantastic—crispy and generously sauced—while the poppers were spot on. I couldn’t finish the calzone, but it was quite tasty, featuring bleu cheese and what I think was some ricotta. Overall, I really enjoyed the food and will definitely return to sample more items from their menu.
