The meals are fully wholesome (including beautiful soups, fresh oven baked bread, tarts and of course many other selections) extremely well priced and presented. An outdoor decking offers the most magnificent views of the Pyrenees all around and back to the Pic du Midi in the east. If weather is not conducive to sitting outside then the large windows offer the same views. Not a 5 star restaurant, far from it, this cafe/restaurant offers an atmosphere of a mountain refuge with a terrific feel and ambience. We asked and were told the restaurant opens year around, even in the winter. The restaurant services a series of outdoor snow activity areas which are accessible from the front door and I would assume is patronized by cyclists weather permitting. Great little place to try. We enjoyed our short stay and if we get a chance to return before we leave, we will certainly try for a full lunch serving.
Pleasant and hearty meals. a good time on sun terrace. reasonable budget and choice of dishes.
Many paths to go and reach everyone. The party of the sky in early September is very distracting. Paragliding baptisms are possible.
