Canton Cafe - Auckland Central

This restaurant is always a hit with our group. Whenever we plan a Cantonese meal with our friends, we spend the whole day getting ready to feast on the delicious food that awaits us.

Small restaurant with large portions... The lemon chicken, salt and pepper squid, garlic prawns, and vegetable tofu were all delicious. The restaurant had a constant flow of customers, mostly in groups, creating a lively atmosphere.

I don't understand why these people are giving this place such high ratings with 4 and 5 stars. In my opinion, it's only a 2-star restaurant. As someone who used to live there...

In these uncertain times, it's reassuring to know that our favorite local BYO restaurant is still open for delivery. Despite the limited capacity of 10 people, we decided to visit Canton Cafe on a Friday night for some late-night dining. The service was friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. We especially enjoyed the sizzling beef and the black chili chicken. We will definitely be returning.

Don't expect top-notch service or fancy decor here, but you're guaranteed to have a great time. The dishes are served in generous portions for sharing, with unlimited rice - what more could you ask for? Don't forget, it's BYO! And make sure to try the delicious crispy pork belly starter - it's incredible.
