Le Bistro Des Gourmets - Auckland

This had to be one of the best French Bistro's we have been to. The atmosphere is perfect, the food superb beautifully presented, generous portions, beautifully selected dinnerware, glasses etc. The service was impeccable the soufflé was without a doubt the best I have ever had anywhere in the world. Fantastic French cuisine! The food is incredibly authentic. The snails were exceptional, served on a pastry instead of being overwhelmed by butter and garlic, which is often the case. The beef was divine, and the accompanying fries and vegetables were delightful. There's a nice selection of French wines; we enjoyed a wonderful Burgundy. The service was attentive without being overbearing, with excellent recommendations for both food and wine. When we asked to move to a window table, it was arranged right away. We will definitely return. Highly recommended!

Outstanding food and service. You won’t find better French cuisine in Auckland. I highly recommend it.
