The food was great, fast and hot. I do wish it came with rice though, it was a little pricey for no rice for two dishes that needed rice, such as the curry.
Restaurant is located outside the mall but shares the same parking space. Visited this place for the first time, food here is yummy and the portioning is great. We ordered Chicken Fried Rice, Raw Papaya Salad, Tom Yum Soup and Thai Coffee. Ambience is nice, service is also good until you tip a bit less than her expectations. I found her attitude changed after tipping which is not correct. I am not obliged to tip 15 or 20% as recommended on the bill. Well, this is my observation though, food here is good, I would still recommend the place. Raw Papaya Salad is a must try!
I was craving some seriously good Thai food while staying with my Sister in Auburn. Gor Gai used to be our go to, her and her husband were good friends with the previous owner, but we knew they had gone downhill since he sold the business. A quick search online told me I'yara was THE PLACE, so we ordered from Door Dash and let me tell you, the reviews are NOT WRONG!!! I had the Crispy Garlic Chicken and my Sis had the Swimming Rama with chicken and Golden Tofu.... I have been daydreaming of that chicken for the past week!!! I am not a glutton, I usually like to save half of my dinner for lunch the next day, but that Crispy Garlic Chicken was so incredible, I could not stop eating it until it was gone!!!! And that was even after it sat on our counter for half an hour because I got busy! I tried the Swimming Rama as well, also amazing! The peanut sauce is perfect! The tofu was gone before I could try it, but I'm told it was also incredible. I think I'll be having dinner from here again this weekend...!!
Best Thai that I have had so far! I was looking to grab some dinner for a celebration and everyone in my group wanted Thai, so I looked up Yelp for recommendations. Iyara Thai came highly recommended in the Auburn area and it was indeed such a revelation. Good Parking options as this is located in the Auburn Outlet Collection. You can do some shopping or catch a movie after dinner too.We ordered the Green Curry w/Tofu, Phad Kee Mao w/Tofu and Phad See Ew w/Chicken.Green Curry w/Tofu 5/5 One of the best green curry dishes that I have had in any Thai joint. It was so flavorful, and the curry paste tasted freshly made. Most curry dishes are either too light or too sweet. This dish was neither and the spice level also was maintained at the right heat.Phad Kee Mao w/Tofu 3.5/5 My son ordered the Drunken Noodles as it is his favorite and go to dish at any Thai joint. This was the dish that was a bit disappointing as it did not hit the mark for my son. One big plus was that it had a good variety of vegetables in addition to the tofu.Phad See Ew w/Chicken 4.5/5 My friend ordered the Phad See Ew and said that it was also quite flavorful. He said that the sauce was light but quite prominent and the noodles were the right texture. He ordered a level 3 spice, and the heat level was good. Tip: They are serious about the spice levels so if you are not into spicy food, I would recommend ordering it at Level 1 or No Spice.
