Country's Barbecue - Auburn

I ordered the smoked ham platter, and it was excellent. They serve the best Brunswick stew I've ever had!

I've hesitated to share my thoughts because I prefer to stay positive and believe that everyone is trying their best—after all, nobody is perfect. However, I feel compelled to say that if you're planning to spend your money on a meal out, I wouldn't recommend this place. The kitchen staff is unreliable, the conditions in the kitchen are unacceptable, and the food storage practices raise serious health concerns. Honestly, this establishment should be shut down by the health department. On the other hand, The Country's in Columbus is fantastic; the staff there genuinely cares and does excellent work. It's disheartening to see the way Auburn is being managed—it feels like it’s heading downhill. It's truly disappointing and concerning.

It's always a pleasure to be here. The food may take a while to arrive, but overall, it's worth the wait.

The quality of the food has really gone downhill. My fries were obviously pulled from a microwave, not a fryer. My squash casserole tasted like nothing but cream. Ribs were HARD. To eat. This place used to be so good. I don’t know what happened. I feel robbed though.

I enjoyed the food. The service was good also. The building could use some work, but I just considered it to be sort of rustic. I'm very glad I didn't need to do number 2. It would have been very hard to do since the toilet was almost touching the wall! They need to take out that wall and make the restroom a little bigger so it would be a little more user-friendly. Other than that, I thought the food was awesome.
