Contribuiți la feedbackI absolutely adore their "garbage" pizza - the taste, the ingredients, it's the best pizza I've ever had! I would prefer to drive there to enjoy it rather than taking it home. The atmosphere is charming and unique, giving off an Italian vibe. The service was good and since we arrived at 4 pm when they opened, we were the only customers there. I'm not usually a fan of pizza and typically only eat it every two months, but I would definitely return to this restaurant on a monthly basis at the very least.
This restaurant is a local favorite, known for its delicious pizzas. It is a cozy Mom and Pop establishment housed in a cool old building with both indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a bar. The pizza here is excellent and is more of the knife and fork variety. Our go-to order includes garlic bread baskets, a classic pepperoni, and a combo pizza. If my mom is joining us, we always add a pepperoni and pineapple pizza to the mix, which may sound strange but actually tastes great. The service is top-notch and the whole experience feels like a nostalgic throwback to a simpler time. The whole family is involved in running the place, with Pop making the pizzas, Mom handling the register, and the kids serving food and drinks. Overall, I love this place for its delicious food, fantastic service, and awesome vibes.
Do restaurants typically send burnt pizzas home to customers who place orders over the phone? As long-time patrons, we were surprised and disappointed by our experience.
Atmosphere: Outside front is wack! Looks like a broken down or closed business. Inside is tight and looks like a family run/traditional restaurant. They have seating outside in the back and it is great for families and huge parties! There is an open grass area that is perfect for kids to run around. Looks just like a backyard. Customer service: Neither good or bad. The workers do their job. Food does take a bit long, but what can we do. They're nice about refilling out water and switching out any dirty plates and utensils we get. Food: Pastas and fried food were simple and okay, but the pizza and bread sticks were perfection. Overall: Going back for the pizzas only!!!
OK, guys. I am ashamed to admit I have been in the Atwater area for the last 12 years.....and this is my FIRST TIME HERE! We went here for dinner. It was POPPING! It was a busy night, and there were a couple of parties on the patio; all that being said, we were there for maybe an hour hour and a half. Our food came out in stages, and our drinks stayed full. (Big kudos for this) I didn't get our sweet waitress' name, but the receipt said Isabel, anyhow she had dark hair pretty blue nails. It was apparent that tonight was an off night. Apparently, someone passed out, and another person quit; so the service was slower than normal (based on how other customers were acting). All of that to be said, our waitress was sweet and stayed on top of our needs. The meal was like a night at Nona's. My Italian hubby was stoked said this brought back childhood memories of his Italian family's houses. Had the Dino Frank (music) in the background. It was a meal and a good ambiance. It was a little dated for decor but c'mon....who's Nona's house is modern? Despite the chaos....we will be back. Still need to try those fried Oreos. Also, for those who are soda snobs (raises hand) they have Pepsi products.
