Contribuiți la feedbackAs was mentioned in the previous review, this restaurant was recommended by Eda at Feudi di San Gregorio winery. When we arrived for lunch the restaurant was bustling and inviting. The servers were helpful in suggesting dishes that were being prepared in the kitchen and also helped recommend things from the menu. From the antipasto menu, we tried the sformato di ricotta al forno, from the soup menu the scarola con fagioli tradizionale, and we had different pasta dishes fusilli and ravioli. All the dishes were excellent and the portions were very generous. The house wine was also quite good. Needless to say, we didn't have much of anything to eat for the rest of the day.
We stopped by this place for a quick lunch and was able to park inside as we were early. Ordered the pasta with tomato and cheese excellent!, also had the orecchiette (ear pasta) and veal all very good. Staffs here were friendly and helpful, price also very reasonable. More people trickling in after 2pm (normal for summer), highly recommended!
I came here on the recommendation of the locals because I was looking for an authentic meal. This was by far the best meal I had in Italy in all of the times I have visited Italy. The food was fresh and plentiful. The people were lovely and the ambiance was simply perfect. Thank you for your hospitality!
Davvero deliziosa e succulenta!
This restaurant came highly recommended by the staff person, Eda, at Feudi di San Gregorio. We arrived for dinner with an 8 PM reservation and found we were almost the only ones in the restaurant. They have a small parking lot right in front of the restaurant inside a low wall and we parked literally meters from the front door. The food was simple, well prepared using fresh ingredients and the selection of local wines was beyond reproach. Portion sizes were generous and predictably we didn't finish any of our courses and had to make apologies to our server when he picked up our plates, reassuring him that we did enjoy the food. Service was not lightning fast, as is the case almost everywhere else in Italy, but it was warm and friendly when it did arrive. The place is clearly family run and it shows in both the food and the service. Locals appear to enjoy the place as well because it was packed when we left at about 10 PM and best I could tell nobody else in the place was speaking English. When we got ready to leave we found a gray Audi parked behind us blocking us in. I went back inside and as soon as I told the guy at the bar about our parking situation a guy jumped up and said hed be happy to move the car. There is also ample on street parking at that time of night, something else we found rare in most parts of Italy. This was an enjoyable experience and I highly recommend it.
