Linguini By The Sea - Atlantic City

I was expecting something a little more upscale. My salad was really good. The service was good but my salmon was overdone. We had to wait over 30 minimum to be seated after arriving on time for our reservation. The floor under our table was dirty with food and utensils that were dropped prior to our arrival. An offer from my waiter to do more than get something to put on my dry salmon to make it better would’ve definitely gained him more than the 18% tip he received.Vegetarian options: There should be more options available. Just a larger selection of vegetables would be great.

Great atmosphere! Food was great but service was excellent. Louis was very attentive, helpful. He really cares about his customers. His partner, coworker Jonathan, was very attentive and helpful. Hope other restaurants have people like these two guys.Parking: Hotel parking

The first time we ate at Linguini By the Sea we could not say enough good things. This last time was not good and probably wont re visit. The water glasses have a strange smell. (dirty water smell) Food took so long to come and the server did not even check back with us and honestly my pasta dish had 10 noodles in it. Yes it had tasty roasted eggplant and tomatoes but come on, its a pasta dish...and not cheap. Also when we sat there was not napkin we had to ask for it. I sure hope the management reads this and makes improvements to how they clean the water glasses and the service. We usually stay for coffee but wanted out of there after waiting over 45 minutes for our meals to come out.

Overall food was okay here, not bad but didn’t wow me. The ambiance is nice and there’s a fancy vibe to it—also if you’re lucky you can get a table overlooking the water, if not, at least a partial view of the ocean. Service was fine. For the pasta dishes, tried the Linguini Alle Vongole (clam in white wine) and Bucatini Al Funghi (speck)—both reasonable portions but it seemed to lack flavor, as if the pasta didn’t soak up any of the sauce. Also tried the Seared Halibut—was not a fan of how the fish was seasoned or tasted, but the chickpeas were good.Aside from the ambiance and view, I’m not sure I would go out of my way to come back here.

I've dined here twice and had two completely different experiences. The first time, the service was fantastic and the dishes were excellent. However, I returned two weeks later and was incredibly disappointed. Half of our table complained about their food being overly seasoned, and my dish arrived ice cold after waiting over an hour for the entrees. Overall, I would rate the food a 3/5.
