The SERVICE was very nice. Great food, very nice service and a lovely, creative, pub atmosphere which I'd say was an upscale-type pub, because I LOVED THE CAREFULLY THOUGHT-OUT DETAILS. See my photos-I took tons of photos to share with you. I look forward to a return visit to try several other menu items I am curious about. THE DETAILS--be sure to see my photos, too Appetizer-I started with the Molasses and Ale wings. EXCELLENT-THE SAUCE WAS OUTRAGEOUSLY DELICIOUS!!! So delicious that I licked my fingers!! I was fine with that because I was there to eat, and I didn't want any of that fabulous sauce to go to waste. Ooooh, that sauce!! Sweet, and perfect!! It had very finely chopped apples, chives, and a few slices of green jalapeño...LOVED THE SAUCE ON THE WINGS, also on the PLATE, a bit of crumbled blue cheese. TOTAL YUM!!! I couldn't finish all the wings, so I took two home( to my room). My MAIN course was THE FRENCH DIP, (sandwich) served with fries. This was my first ever French Dip!!! And wow, it was so delicious because it was so flavorful!!! A French Dip has sliced roast beef on bread, and a bit of cheese melted with the beef. The bread--that is a perfect dipping bread--the bread had a light toast to it, at certain strategic locations, like the ends, or sides, so there was a tiny bit of a perfect crispness, perfect when dipping into the wonderfully flavorful dipping gravy. The only slight negative was that the fries were only warm, NOT HOT, when the plate arrived at my table. I am a slow eater, so I don't know if that meant that my plate may have sat a few minutes in the kitchen while I worked on my delicious appetizer. But warm fries do not compare to HOT temperature fries. That was my only negative. But the fries did seem good. Next visit I'll mention this so that my fries are perfect when brought to the table. We all want that, right? My dessert--Well, since I have never had sticky toffee pudding, so I figured this was the place to try it. It was good, but for me, next time, I will order the crème brûlée because I know I love a great crème brûlée. Altho, the cake sounded very good too!! AND, last, but most definitely not least, my very enjoyable pot of chamomile tea with honey. Absolutely perfect I loved it. Overall, YES!!! You should dine here!!
Tonight we are at Gordon Ramsay Pub located in Caesar's Atlantic City. It is pricey for what you get, but that is par for the course when you eat at a celebrity restaurant in a casino. On prior visits, the food was good, so we went again. I don't know if it was just an off night, but both the food and service left a lot to be desired. My fish and chips were tasty but the portions were small, this fish could still be swimming around, and not worth half of the $35 charge. My companion had a Reuben. The main ingredients should be corned beef and cheese followed by sauerkraut. Here however, the main ingredient was grease to the point where the bread was saturated and the entire thing was inedible. Perhaps Gordon should spend less time with self aggrandizement and more time with quality control.
I really, really wanted to like this place. We had high hopes considering it was the FABULOUS GORDON RAMSAY but we were pretty disappointed. We ate at a lot of cheap eats and wanted to splurge a little bit here. My friend ordered the avocado toast and I ordered the tater tots poutine. The food was very bland. Presentation wise it was so beautiful and colorful but lacked so much season and flavor. We should have eaten across the lobby at the bistro food was so much better there. Our brunch cost us about $60 USD which could have been spent on something else that we would have enjoyed. We thought we would have the whole restaurant to ourselves but I think it was the taste of the food that was lacking. The service was alright. Sat us down and took our order pretty minimal. I did hear that his fish and chips pub was much much better. Looking forward to trying that because I love Gordon Ramsey. Skip this place for brunch their evening menu looks much better! Later alligator.
First timer to this bar and restaurant. Went by for a quick snack and drink. bar wasn't that crowded when we went ... service was slow . Conveniently located within Caesers palace casino. Was a bit pricey because of the name and brand . Ambience was good . Of course it's Gordon Ramsey restaurant and was a bit high scale . A beer costed 15-17$ . Other places charge 6-7$ .. a simple crispy cauliflower was absolutely 17$. Just came in for the ambience . Couldn't order more food because it was expensive . Overall a good place but very expensive .
During a short trip to Atlantic City this weekend, I visited Gordon Ramsay's Pub Grill for a quick lunch before hitting the casino. This is one of the two Gordon Ramsay's restaurants located at Caesar's Palace. I'm a huge Kitchen Nightmares fan, so I was excited to eat here (although they didn't take too kindly to me asking to inspect their fridge to see if they were serving fresh or frozen food! Just kidding! On the outside, the restaurant looks beautiful. It has these tall columns and pillars matching Caesar's decor, but on the inside, there is a distinct British pub feel. The restaurant felt very tight, and there were a lot of tables cramped closely together. Although the huge menu lists breakfast and lunch, we were only allowed to order a lunch item from the middle of the menu (which included three options for All Day Breakfast, one of which I ordered . I had the Breakfast Croissant with no meat, so it came with a croissant, egg, cheese, and french fries. The meal was fine, but nothing stupendous. The croissant was a bit soggy and flavorless on its own. The egg and cheese together, however, was very good. Also, the fries were crispy and flavorful. We also ordered the Dublin, a corned beef sandwich with cheese, thousand island dressing, and sauerkraut, which looked and tasted delicious. It was hearty and packed with sandwich meat, although it was also slightly greasy. I did like the nice touch of a newspaper-lined to-go-box. Overall, with limited breakfast/lunch options at Caesar's, I understand why this restaurant is crowded and often visited. If I were to ever go back for lunch, I would skip the croissant and stick with a specialty sandwich!
