This is a great lounge for a hang out/lunch kind of thing, especially if you come on a less popular time or day. I came around 3 pm so there were more empty seats, and looking out to the ocean in comfortable chairs was great. I got a pina colada which was fun, and the buffet isn't big, but that's why it seems like more of a lunch/snack place (unless they do add more food for dinner). They had a chip/salsa/guac stand, salad stuff, sandwich making stuff, some pasta/pizza stuff. Then a decent dessert area. So not a massive spread but fine since it's not a real buffet, so can't compare it to one in the main casinos. They also had a few free arcade games, including Donkey Kong and a pinball machine. This is a neat place to relax on a trip and get a little nosh, so it's a good amentity for the Diamond status.
Went to Harrahs AC lounge. Service was good. Ambiance is ok. The food wasn't very good.
Previously I had been to the player 's lounge at Resorts Casino and also at the Amphora Lounge at the Borgata on many occasions. Upon entering, I could not believe how nice the decor is at the Diamond Club at Bally 's. Of all those lounges, Bally 's has by far the nicest set up, which surprised me. It 's huge. They have a creative, loungy design. The bar wraps around on the left under a beautiful dome and chandelier. They have huge windows all down the wall, which look right down onto the boardwalk and ocean. As is the case with most player 's lounges, they do not have draft beer and especially not local craft beer. Whenever a bar does not have craft beer, I lower my rating by one star. However, they have amazing mixed drinks, and you can drink all you want. I was really impressed with how Sandra, the bartender and mixologist, developed a special drink called the Angry Carl, which is named after a regular patron. It tastes like chocolate covered cherries. You have to go back just for the Angry Carl. The mini buffet is pretty good, too. It 's not fine dining, but it comes with everything from soup, to salad, to entrees, to dessert. I really liked how they had a pinball machine, too.
Very disappointed in the service and food choices for this high rollers players club. Tables were dirty. Took 15 mins just to get server to table for drink order. Another 10 to get drink. And 30 mins to get food. Won't be back.
