Contribuiți la feedbackI had looked at the menu beforehand but was disappointed to find that they didn't offer any eggplant dishes. I was hoping for some rollatini or parmesan, so I opted for the manicotti instead. My husband ordered the Zuppa di Pesce, which was packed with lobster, shrimp, mussels, clams, and scallops. Both our dishes came with a choice of soup or house salad. I chose the salad with a lovely vinaigrette dressing, while he had the mushroom soup, which he really enjoyed. He loved his seafood dish and finished every bit of it. Unfortunately, I found the manicotti to be quite lackluster, and I ended up bringing most of it home. Our server was very friendly, and I would definitely return to try something different. A tip: if you check in on YELP, you can get 15% off your bill!
I attempted to make a reservation by phone last night and quickly realized why my calls weren't being answered when I arrived at the restaurant—Angeloni's Restaurant has been permanently closed for over a month. It's a significant loss for the culinary scene. I ended up visiting Angelo's Restaurant just around the corner and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their food. It is a bit on the pricier side, but I would definitely recommend it. It's unfortunate to see Angeloni's go, but I'm excited about discovering Angelo's. I will be returning!
I just learned that this iconic restaurant in Atlantic City, New Jersey has closed because the owner has retired. Angeloni's II Restaurant Lounge was a fantastic spot that I frequented whenever I found myself in Atlantic City. It had a classic atmosphere, and the food was excellent. The service was always impeccable. Atlantic City has lost a truly great restaurant with the closing of Angeloni's II Restaurant Lounge, and I will certainly miss it.
It was very quiet at 4:15 PM on a Friday afternoon. Came in for happy hour as a quick pitstop didn't make it to knife and fork and docks. We ordered some drinks as well as some appetizers. The fried calamari tasted like it was frozen, the mussels had a fishy taste and something was missing from the sauce, but the arancini helped save the day. Each of the appetizers were $5 which was typical but the portion size was on the smaller end. Service was sub par. The bartender seemed nicer to the other patrons who may have been regulars. Nothing stood out as special so not sure I would come again but again solid spot for a quick dive bar like experience. As soon as we stepped out we were welcomed with bright sunlight since it's so dark in there. A local said there is debate whether this establishment is better than Angelo's. I'll have to check out Angelo's to decide for myself but for now my feedback is that Angeloni's is nothing special.
If you want authentic and delicious Italian food you NEED to go here! They treat you like family here and that's the best! Strong drinks, great tasting food, real Italian feal, what more can you ask for?!
