The eggs were great, the bacon was great, and the pancakes were delicious. Shane, our server, was fantastic. He was nice, attentive and very quick. He was constantly topping off our coffee. If you want if you?re in the area looking for a great breakfast option, this one disappoint.
Friendly Disclaimer: CASH ONLY (they have an ATM though) My friends and I had Saturday brunch here. We parked on the street but there is parking availability next to the restaurant. We were seated right away and treated with care. Our food was awesome! Shrimp and grits was mildly spicy and extremely flavorful. No shell or tail on my shrimp. Major bonus points! My guests loved the blueberry preserves and the fry on their fish. Thumbs up diner gets a thumbs up and a return visit from me!
My friends and I had brunch at Thumbs up on Saturday and the food was very good. Although the wait was extremely long, once we were seated our food came out very quickly and it was hot and delicious and very reasonably priced even in today’s economy. One of the only gripes I have is that this is a cash only restaurant. I didn’t realize that until I saw the sign out front. They do have an ATM inside but you’ll have to pay a fee. Other than that I would definitely go back.
I am a breakfast person so this is right up my alley! Came for brunch and the place was packed (always a good sign). Waited a while for a table but once we were seated, we were greeted immediately and warmly by our server. We had a variety of items like a skillet, chicken tenders and other breakfast goodies. Everything was hot, fresh and served with a smile. I will be back for sure...
Wow. Can’t say enough good things about this food. Disguised as a diner, but with some real southern soul and comfort here. The food is incredible and the service awesome. I can see why it’s usually packed! Fried catfish is fantastic and so is the fried chicken biscuits and gravy. Must have when in ATL.
