The Consulate - Atlanta

Everything was great as always. Cindy was awesome as well. She was a wonderful server and gave great food recommendations and explained the food items very well. We look forward to our next visit.

Everything was good! We have really nice time with our friends.

We went to The Consulate for my wife's birthday. We had been there for an engagement party a couple months ago and had a good experience so we looked forward to dining there tonight. Drove an hour from Bethlehem just to dine here. We had three appetizers and ordered three meals. To be fair the appetizers were good and my daughter ‘s and my entree's were great, but my wife was very unsatisfied with her meal and that's were the problem is with this restaurant. They would not take the food back and make her something else. They brought out a saucer of spices but that was all they wanted to do to satisfy the customer. They would make another meal, but they wouldn't refund the meal that my wife fund to be inedible. After going back and forth with the manager or whoever he was whom just kept talking about its their policy not to refund and they not in the business for people to just come in sampling their food. Personally I feel like if something is found to be inedible they should be able to send it back; especially at the prices that we're paying. I mentioned how many items we ordered so you'll know we're not trying to nickel and dime it here; we just want good food and good service! I've never eaten anywhere that has such a ridiculous policy. Even McDonald's would give a refund if their food is inedible. They were willing to give us half off for inedible food so there's that, but I still had to pay for something that my wife couldn't eat on her birthday. So our special occasion was ruined by a ridiculous policy. I told our server that we will never be back! We ended up stopping by a fast food place on the way home for my wife. So to anyone who is willing to read all of this please know that if you don't like what you order you are SOL at The Consulate! I gave an honest and accurate account of our experience. I could care less about 18 other times the meal was served my wife thought it was NASTY! The item shouldn't have been discounted; it should have been refunded!

Cool atmosphere. Great backing soundtrack/playlist. Good drinks, creative menu and excellent table service. Reminds me of a cool sci-fi outpost somewhere in the galaxy. Beware the complimentary parking. We had to walk up SIX levels to get our car. NO ONE informed us that the stairwells and elevator was CLOSED after our evening departure from the restaurant. Talk about blowing a beautiful night. Jeezus

My sister and I had a wonderful visit! Cecilia was an excellent waitress; so professional and attentive, yet friendly and fun. We got lost getting to the restaurant, and she and the hostess (Mia) made sure to talk us through getting there safely. The plantains appetizer, coupled with the scallops entree, was absolutely divine. And the lemon drop martini was perfect. The Consulate staff went above and beyond to take care of us and we will definitely be back!
