Taqueria Del Sol - Atlanta

As a real estate agent, I’m constantly on the lookout for great spots to bring clients and friends. Taqueria Del Sol is a hidden gem for Mexican cuisine, offering truly authentic flavors. The moment you walk in, the delightful aroma takes you straight to Mexico. Their enchiladas, along with the chips and queso dip, are absolutely essential to try—full of traditional spices and fresh ingredients. It’s a real culinary experience that you won’t want to miss.

Recent inflation has led to higher prices here, but it seems like the portion sizes have decreased. It’s disappointing to receive less than expected for my lunch. Both my colleague’s and my bowls were only half-full. Additionally, we were once served cold shrimp chowder. When we mentioned it, they offered to microwave it, but it was still cold as if it had just come out of the refrigerator. I find the service here to be quite rude as well.

The food and drinks were excellent. However, the wait was quite lengthy, despite arriving right at 5 PM when they opened. There is certainly a high demand for this place. I'll definitely be returning!

TDS is and always will be one of my favorite food stops. Tacos are always great, blue plate specials are equally great... And the shrimp corn chowder is the best I've had. Parking can be a bit difficult and there may be a line outside, but they are fast and the food is fresh! I hear the Tequila bar is pretty good also ;

Excellent. Of course this is not your high end dining, but within their own category they are excellent, consistent and service is great at this location.
