Sage Woodfire Tavern Buckhead - Atlanta

My experience at Sage was absolutely awful. I had a reservation at 10:15 on a Saturday evening, arrived at 10:00, and didn't get seated until 10:40. I watched two empty booths sit unused from 10:25 until I finally decided to speak to the manager, "Sid." He was indifferent and only made excuses about the kitchen, showing no concern for my complaints. Service at the bar was slow and unattentive, with a 10-minute wait before anyone asked what we wanted to drink. We received a round from the bartender before realizing she had left for the night without informing us. This place is a disaster and I would not recommend it to anyone. It was noisy and unprofessional. I have used Open Table for years without issue, so I was disappointed by their "4-star" rating in this case. I rarely complain, especially before ordering food, but this experience was so bad that I had to say something. Terrible all around.

To me, the restaurant felt like a more upscale version of Applebee's. The service was polite but lacking professionalism and quality. The staff seemed unenthusiastic and not very knowledgeable. The portions of food were large but the taste was just average. The atmosphere was quiet and awkward with live music playing.

A group of four went to celebrate a birthday at the restaurant. The experience was good and we all enjoyed the dishes at SAGE.

We went for Sunday brunch. Our server Tyler was amazing! We will definitely be back!

I 'm pretty sure I will NEVER go back. This was a bday celebration that left a bad experience. After making a 1p reservation, we waited 40min for our table (1:40p) and I 'm pretty sure they gave it to another party. With bottomless mimosas our group only received 2 rounds and by 2:50P when our food still hadn 't arrived, we had to cancel at the risk of missing our 3:30P next appt. -which we went to starving. The waitress was apathetic at best and the manager not much help. If you 're going to advertise bottomless brunch, take reservations, you need to be prepared for the crowd. So that 's also 5 other people in my group that have been exposed to the negative experience and pretty sure have told others and won 't both to come back at all, definitely not to Buckhead and maybe not to the others, assuming they may be the same way.
