Joey D's Oak Room - Atlanta

My husband and I spontaneously decided to have dinner at Joey D's to celebrate our anniversary. From the honey butter croissants to the tender filet mignons, we were thoroughly impressed with our meal. Even though we were quite full, we somehow found room for the brownie dessert. They melt an entire bar of Hershey's over the brownie, making it the most indulgent treat I've had in a long time. Our server was incredibly sweet and even gave us a hand-written "happy anniversary" note as we were leaving, which was a lovely gesture. It was a wonderful date night!

I really enjoyed this restaurant, especially the croissants! The food was fantastic, the service was top-notch, and everything arrived fresh and quickly. Our total bill was just $67 for two of us: we shared an appetizer, each ordered an entree (which includes one side), and we shared a bottle of spring water. The atmosphere is modern and sleek, making it a popular lunch spot for professionals. I highly recommend it! We will definitely be returning!

I've heard a mix of opinions about this place, but my experience was quite positive. Our table enjoyed She crab soup, garlic butter claws, a house salad, and the Oak Room burger. The soup didn't taste like the traditional She crab version, but it had a pleasant flavor. If you're going to have claws, this is the way to do it! The salad dressing was delicious—I'm not sure if it was honey mustard, but it had a similar taste. The burger was cooked to perfection and was really tasty. However, the fries weren't great, so if you're a fry lover, you might be disappointed. On a positive note, the croissants were amazing! They were served warm with honey butter drizzled on top, and they were perfect for pairing with the soup and salad—I'd be satisfied just with those!

If I could give it 10 stars I would. First experience and will not be the last! Highly recommend the She Crab Soup, Bay Crab Dip w/ Pretzels, Lemon Pepper Wings, and Hibiscus Margarita! Looking forward to bringing my husband in for Father's Day!

Loved the drinks and starters but disappointed by the entrees. We ordered Broiled Salmon and Blackened Chicken Rigatoni. Salmon was fresh but there was no taste in the mushrooms on top and the fish. $25 for a tasteless fish and mushrooms is too much. Myblackened chicken pasta was not blackened or spicy. I asked our server about it he brought back the same pasta with extra hotsauce in it. Highlight of the night was the She Crab Soup. Fried Calamari, Caesar Salad were okayish.
