Contribuiți la feedbackI enjoyed a lovely lunch here on a Monday afternoon before returning home from Atlanta. I'm so glad I discovered this spot on my last day; if I ever find myself back in the city, it will definitely be one of my first stops. The wings were fantastic—our friendly waiter recommended the hot honey wings, and they did not disappoint. Even though I wasn't particularly hungry, I could have easily ordered another basket. We also tried the BBQ pork sandwich with fries, which had a perfectly tangy flavor and was surprisingly not messy at all. The food arrived promptly, and the staff was very attentive, making sure our waters were refilled and checking if we needed anything else. I wished we could have sat outside on the patio, but it was quite windy, so we chose to eat inside. It felt a bit dark and quiet for a midday meal, but we still enjoyed our lunch thoroughly.
We had a wonderful meal at Henry 's late night for us. They close at 11 and we got there about 10:30. As others have said, they have a wonderful enormous patio that wraps around the restaurant and is very spacious. We had the humus appetizer and for entree we had the kale salmon salad, veggie tacos, and mushroom burger with fries. We ate everything except for some of the fries. The crowd was fairly rowdy but it didn 't impact us and we could still easily have conversations without raising our voices. One weird thing there are two cocktails on the menu with the same name Cucumber Mint . They brought me the wrong one and were super gracious about it! Our waiter Alfonso was awesome!!
Service was ridiculously slow! Like I can't believe I had to wait 20 minutes each time to grab a server. Everyone is short staffed so my reviews rarely comment on staffing issues but this was flagrant and without acknowledging. I was annoyed by the automatic gratuity for this reason. Anyways I like Henry's. It's one if the few remaining gay spots in Midtown and it's good to support! The food is also truly good! The place has a great vibe and music and a large patio. Even free parking! Our group enjoyed fried chicken, Brussels, salads and more.
The service was excellent, our server Charles was fun. Drinks were okay. Now the wings: $16.95/per lb! What a joke! There were 7 wings! Not crispy or good whatsoever! The blue cheese was watered down and the celery carrot sticks were old, warm and limp. No bueno!
I understand that restaurant reviews are typically focused on food, service, and atmosphere, so let me touch on those points: the servers are delightfully sassy and usually fantastic, delivering playful banter and sharp quips every time we visited. I was genuinely upset when they removed the Asian chicken salad from the menu. They are incredibly welcoming to dogs and children, treating them like cherished family members rather than just casual guests. As a city, we need to be aware of how we act as both tenants and landlords. From what I've gathered, it seems that a consensus couldn’t be reached regarding Henry's rent—an all-too-familiar Midtown saga we’ve seen unfold far too many times. This needs to stop. Fighting over a few extra dollars benefits no one and only results in erasing a beloved local haunt from existence. Just like we shouldn’t tear down historic buildings in Atlanta, we shouldn’t succumb to the temptation of shiny, new, and flashy establishments that may look appealing in theory. We had something special right here. Let’s keep that in mind for future rent negotiations.
