El Tesoro - Atlanta

Several of my former colleagues from my previous job frequented this restaurant, so when I found myself in the area, I decided to give it a try. Following the recommendation of another patron, I ordered the soyrizo burrito with refried black beans, added avocado, and requested no cheese or rice (due to the chicken stock). It was absolutely delicious! I ended up eating only half of the burrito because I had filled up on chips beforehand.

I frequent this restaurant often, but be aware that the line can be quite long. However, there are usually tables available to sit at, which is convenient. My go-to order is the burrito with refried black beans, soyrizo (without cheese or rice due to chicken stock), and avocado as a substitution. The salsa verde is possibly the best I've ever had. The drinks are potent and the aqua frescas are refreshing. There was a minor issue with my order once, but the manager resolved it quickly and easily.

The staff at this restaurant were very pleasant and the outdoor seating was wonderful. While there weren't many vegan options available, they were able to create some delicious burritos for us.

They have daily vegan specials as well. Salsa options dairy free.

Came here on a COLD Friday night to meet friends; while there were fire pits, unless you’re next to them they might not keep you too warm so plan accordingly! (Could def bring a blanket or anything else to this spot. Ordering is done via walk up, and they have a main food ordering line as well as a line where you can just order drinks or small items like chips and salsa. (I’ve heard the line can get long, so it’s handy to know about the other! I ordered a soy chorizo con papas taco, and they had a jackfruit tinga taco special and got one of those as well, with a side of their refried beans. All was delicious, but the refried beans were AMAZING as well as the soy chorizo. For vegan “stuffing” options they regularly have the soy chorizo on the menu, plus a veggie medley that looks like if would be fine if you ask for no crèma. Next time I think I’ll try getting the burrito (FYI; to make vegan, leave off the rice and cheese! . We also got a blackberry margarita and chips and salsa which were great. Looking forward to coming back when it’s a little warmer the atmosphere and outdoor space is so great!
