The Catch 22 Gastropub - Athens

The restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere and excellent service, complemented by food that is decent yet offers a unique twist. While the dishes could have been improved, they certainly stand out from typical bar fare. It's clear that the menu items are thoughtfully crafted and distinct, although the execution doesn’t quite reach its full potential. However, the service was prompt and our server was friendly and accommodating. The ambiance strikes a balance between a classic bar feel and a family-friendly environment. Additionally, the wall of amusing bad tips provides a humorous distraction while waiting for your meal.

Had meant to write a review last week. Went in and had the Chili Rayeno Totchos. They were so good I got an order to go for lunch the next day at work! Liked the environment and the menu was very appealing all though I went with the special of the day.

I returned to Catch 22 after seeing a Facebook post about their soft taco special, so I decided to try it. The first bite was enjoyable, but after that, the saltiness became overwhelming—way too salty for my taste. My friend ordered wings that were undercooked and just average. On a positive note, the tater tots were fantastic!

The food and service were excellent. The wings are truly the best in town and definitely worth a visit for just the wings and beer. However, during our visit this weekend, we found the place to be quite dirty—more than what feels comfortable. I hope this was just a one-time issue. Cleanliness is important to my wife, and I’d love to keep this restaurant among our top choices in town. Thank you!

Upgrading to 5 stars (from 4). We go here quite often, we love this place. There is plenty of awesome stuff on the menu. They've put their own spin on most dishes, so it's not just ordinary pub food. The service is some of the best in the area these days, even when they're busy. I'll leave the old review below, too. Old review We have been here a few times, and they are pretty good. The atmosphere is nice. The beer selection is great. The service is better than average but not great. They seem to run out of things from time to time. One time, they were actually out of fish and chips, which is kind of blasphemous for a pub. The food is always good, though.
