Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen - Athens

I heard that Popeyes has a new black chicken sandwich, so I decided to give it a try! I finally made my way to a location and placed my order, but I ended up getting the regular Popeyes chicken sandwich instead. That sandwich was still amazing! I’d rate it four stars.

I usually enjoy Popeyes chicken sandwiches, but my last visit was disappointing. The sandwich tasted different, and unfortunately, not in a good way. I also found their nuggets to be quite small. I paid $16 for a 36-piece order, but the nuggets were mostly the size of dimes and nickels, which is far too small given the price. They came in three tiny boxes of 12, and I was surprised at just how small those boxes were. At almost fifty cents per nugget, that’s too high for what I received. I don't mind paying a premium for Popeyes if the quality is there, but if things continue to decline, I might have to rethink my visits. I might give the sandwich another chance, hoping my last experience was just a fluke, but I definitely feel that the nuggets aren’t worth the price I paid, even for the lowest quantity option.

The meal was just $12, but the portions were more like those for children's meals.

Since the pandemic they have become slower and slower. the dining room is not open and they always get their order wrong. is no matter when they come, the service will probably be bad and they will not have what they want.

Ordered two 3 piece meals and Both meals were only two pieces.
