Francos Pizza Place - Athens

Guys. This pizza is SO GOOD. I have two slices of the thick crust cheese. The crust was soft, but with crispy edges, and it does not skep on the cheese. Prices are crazy reasonable $6 for 2 slices and a medium drink). It is a nice place to spend your lunch near the campus.

Coming from Connecticut, I'm used to big New York pizza. I've always hated the pizza around Athens and I can never find a good pizza place to go to school here. Not only is customer service amazing and prices incredibly beautiful, but the pizza reminds me of home. Best pizza in Athens through a landslide.

The best place in Athens to get New York style slices!! Pizza is a tasty Greek, but isn't it all part of the big slices?! The slices are very large and they taste great. The boys there work very hard. 2.50 a piece is a pretty daring business!

When Pittsburgh lived my whole life up to Athens for school, I am used to to tons of really good pizza options. Unfortunately, I have never found anything here for the first 3.5 years, even near the quality I was used in Pittsburgh. After trying Francos for one night, I can now officially say that there is a place that meets these standards, and Francos will be my place until the conclusion.

While Francos is still technically new to Athens, this is some of the best pizza in town. Yes, Goodfellas and Courtside are also good, but the thin crust at Francos is just better. Plus, the little garlic and pepperoni rolls are amazing. Ask for the Buffalo Chicken pizza! It's not on the menu yet but it beats Lotsa Stone Fired pizza's butt. Or really anything else on the menu. Because this place is awesome and I hope it's here to stay in Athens.
