The Habit Burger Grill - Atascadero

Was very excited to get the Habit in Atown, Santa Barbara being my first time. They opened up a beautiful new building right on the main drag, across from Vons. Every time I go, service is very slow, prices are high for fast food and the French fries are cold. My Chicken sandwich: flavorful, soft ciabatta bread, fresh tasting vegetables, great flavor with the savory/sweet grilled onions, yet was missing a lot of meat, an unacceptable amount. Onion rings were done perfectly, crunchy, salty, and warm. The fries were seasoned well, but we're lukewarm and soggy. The problem is, The Habit was considered one of the best fast food options. Between the long wait, $16 for a combo with barely any meat and soggy fries, and it all being lukewarm, no wonder it is a 2.5 star. Come on Habit! Standards and practices have to come up.

Was great for the first year or so and then quickly went downhill food is mediocre shakes are now an artificial mess strawberry shakes used to have real strawberries in it. Not sure if there's different owners or what happened but I do not recommend this place at all. We went from going here maybe three times a week to once every 6 months

I've been a fan of The Habit since before it became a chain. Whenever I visited Santa Barbara, I would eat at the original location, which was the only one at the time. I've also been to the Atascadero location multiple times. Unfortunately, I've been very disappointed during my last two visits. I was really excited when this location opened, but after my experience today, I don’t think I’ll return. While the food is still flavorful, the fries have not been prepared properly. They are undercooked and quite soggy. Whoever is in charge of cooking the fries really needs to leave them in the fryer longer! It’s been a year since I last visited The Habit, and they clearly haven't addressed this issue. The flavor is definitely there, but it's a shame about the fries. I feel like you’re not getting your money’s worth here.
