Tantra Lounge - Astoria

Had a lovely date night here, arrived before it turned into a lounge and it wasn’t crazy packed. The staff was super attentive and we got our drinks quickly. This was around 9:30 so the noise level was low/moderate, fine for conversation. Drinks were delicious! Loved the chicken tinga tacos and my partner loved the shrimp tacos. I will say, I wasn’t a huge fan of the steamed pork buns, but everything else was great. Loved the music selection (mostly Latin) and the ambience was gorgeous. Will return to enjoy the lounge portion!

Everyone was nice, attentive, and accommodating to my family and I. We enjoyed our night, the food, drinks and ambiance.

I ordered avocado toast and it came with egg on it, even though I didn't ask for it and the menu said there was an upcharge for it. My friend ordered it as well and they did the same to her. The restaurant was dark and the music was very loud even though it was 3pm brunch. The first Margarita I ordered was delicious, but the second tasted like it had coconut in it. The waitress consistently took forever to check on our table and when it was time to close the bill we waited so long we had to actually get up to find her. The food was good, the music was good, and the vibe was friendly, but the service was very poor.

Went to celebrate my birthday and a friends birthday. The food was good. The drinks were great. The ambiance was great. The djs were awesome. I danced the whole night…..
