The service was slow, and it seemed like the staff wasn't very well trained. Our waiter was a young man from Eastern Europe, and communication was a challenge; it was hard to tell if he understood our requests. I ended up ordering the biscuits and gravy, which were just average—definitely not as good as what I make at home.
The restaurant had a charming vintage vibe, and the ribs were tender and tasty. It's definitely a place that offers great value for the money with its excellent food. However, the service was quite chaotic. Throughout our meal, the server was nowhere to be found, and we spent a long time trying to track him down just to order dessert. He didn’t even check in to see if we were enjoying our meals. As for drink refills? There were none. He didn’t appear to be particularly busy either. Given that Aspen has many wonderful dining options, I doubt I’ll return to this one.
**Parking Tip:** It’s best to park on the side street and walk a short distance, as traffic exiting Aspen can make access challenging in the late afternoon.
We stopped here to grab lunch while passing through Aspen. It was recommended by someone at an estate sale, so we decided to check it out. Our waiter was really nice and attended us quickly. The plates were a good portion, and the food tasted good. We did have to wait a while before we received our food. If you're hungry or in a hurry, you might want to go somewhere else if you can't wait. We waited around 45 minutes for our food. We weren't in a hurry, so it didn't bother us. We ordered the full rack of ribs, sausage, and the mac cheese. My husband loved the mac and cheese. He said it was delicious. It's made with different cheeses. My mother in law ordered some sweet potato tots, and she said they were really good. Each plate is around $15 to $20 dollars, which is a good price. If you order a soft drink, you do receive a souvenir plastic cup. The plates are set up nicely.Parking: They do have a parking lot, but it's small and tight. Street parking is available, but it's busy and has a 2 hour minimum. We had to drive a couple of times around to find parking.
