Sandwiches are delicious and very well sized! Might seem pricey but they give you a lot, if you have a smaller appetite you will have 2 meals! It even came with chips which was a surprise and one of the guys offered us more! The staff was very friendly and so are the rest of the people there. A few things to note: there is a bathroom if you go through the door in the front and walk straight next to the kitchen. The seating is also outdoors which isn't the best for a hot day but most of the tables are in the shade. Overall a wonderful experience here!
The sandwiches at Sammich are always delicious. All of the ingredients are fresh and go well together in the sandwiches. Some of the sandwiches can be a bit pricey. The atmosphere is relaxed and smelling the smoking meat makes for a great atmosphere.
If you are travelling through southern Oregon, you have to stop here and get the Porkstrami sandwich! It is heavenly. We also enjoyed the albacore, both grilled and cold. Highly recommended!
I have been showing at this place for years now. It's changed a bit, not all for the better. There used to be more of a local vibe. It's streamlined, and the quality of product is there, but not without compromising in certain ways only a regular local would recognize (e.g. apparent balance [or lack thereof] in ratio of bread to meat, upcharges, etc... just not quite the same culinary touch and attention to detail). It would seem the pretense of being a multi site franchise, the expansion, things of that nature... have contributed to giving off more of a boxed up, generic, corporate impression (versus homegrown or local). That's honestly what I miss about Sammich now, and literally how it seems to have translated on the plate. Best to the progress of the franchise and its owners, that assuming it can maintain the kind of true deli integrity across the board that it's had in the past.
