Luna Cafe Mercantile - Ashland

It is a good spot. I like supporting it. I will say the drinks are way over priced as well as the food. Not the best value. Go to the oak tree across the street if you need a filling meal and not a 6 dollar beer. Plus you have to clean your own table after and tip before you have your food.

Something about those french fries were outstanding. They were crispy and fluffy. The house ketchup was also wonderful. Chicken alfredo was also very nice.

I was initially unsure about eating here while staying at the hotel. I ordered a Reuben with fries and split a spinach and goat cheese salad. The Reuben was amazing, made with real meat, and the fries were perfectly crispy with delicious salt flakes. The house-made ketchup elevated the dish to another level. The salad was tangy, slightly sweet, and refreshing. I also requested a side of their house-made dill ranch dressing, which was fantastic. For dessert, I indulged in a custard with a tart rhubarb jelly topping, a rich chocolate ganache, and a slice of rhubarb crumble pie. Everything was delicious and made from scratch. Although it can get busy, the wait is definitely worth it. There is plenty of indoor seating, or you can take your food back to your room. They also have a nice selection of beers and wines. Due to the fires and smoke, we felt like we were stuck at the Hotel California, but if this is our situation, we won't be complaining about the food anytime soon.

There is a retro-futuristic vibe in this nifty, lofty space. The pear bleu cheese pizza was crispy and still somehow tender. The savvy bartender crafted a signature cocktail called Zero Gravity, which has flavors of toasted coconut, lime, and mango. Luna Cafe is special.

The hotel is fantastic and the cafe was outstanding. They offer a wide variety of delicious food options. Our pizzas, salads, and desserts were all fantastic. The drinks were also great. The unique and cute merchandise for sale was a nice touch. We absolutely loved this place!
