The chicken was undercooked, making it difficult to cut, and the skin was very rubbery. At one point, I even worried about the risk of Salmonella. Ultimately, I had to throw it away. As a trucker, I can't afford to get sick a thousand miles from home. On a positive note, I really enjoyed the Alfajor cookies—they're absolutely delicious! The tres leches cake was also quite good.
I was driving on 1 South towards Richmond when I spotted this restaurant and decided to stop by. Having never tried Peruvian food before, I am SO GLAD I did! The food was absolutely DELICIOUS! I even ordered a lamb dish to take home. Everything was so fresh and light—nothing greasy at all. The service was excellent, and there wasn't a long wait at all. I really wish we had one of these in Mississippi. A Peruvian friend had told me just a few days before that this place was amazing, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The lamb was incredible! I wanted to savor both dishes at once because they were both so flavorful and satisfying! I highly recommend dining here if you're in the area. I could never get tired of this food! Hats off to Peruvian cuisine!
The staff is super friendly and the food is amazing! I had her tilapia, salmon, chicken, fried rice and steak cheese. You? Picture of my steak and cheese
Beautiful stop in virginia, the restaurant is 15 minutes from the highway. The staff is pleasant and the food came with good time. They serve big portions, the food was delicious. I had the chicken with Yuca-Fries and Maduro. I order the Horchata, I choose this drink and the taste has not missed me.
The last time I visited this restaurant, it was a decent Greek spot, but now it’s a Peruvian chicken place. I tried the charcoal-grilled chicken along with fried rice and a salad. The salad, dressed with Greek dressing, was quite good. Unfortunately, the fried rice was just okay—edible, but that's about it. It resembled a slightly greasy version of Chinese fried rice, and it was pretty plain with no added ingredients. The chicken was average as well. I was hoping for some exciting Peruvian flavors, but it turned out to be largely flavorless. I finished the meal, but I can make much better at home—even with my background in a family that thought garlic salt was adventurous. If I lived nearby, I might think about giving them another chance with a different dish, but it's not worth the trek from the truck stop.
