Service so slow waited over 50 minutes for the mains technical issue they said .....they should have given use a complementary drink but no .......

Lovely cosy country pub with roaring log fires, friendly, helpful staff and great service. Food was wonderful and plenty of choice even for kids. All homemade and plentiful. Not rushed out the door and we had a lovely evening, thank you!

I ordered the steak, but was disappointed with the presentation. The meat was tough and difficult to cut, leading my partner to give up on hers because it was too difficult to eat.

This was our third visit to this restaurant, and each time has been a delight. We always receive a warm welcome, and the festive atmosphere with tasteful Christmas decorations added to the charm. The staff were all attentive and provided excellent service. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. We enjoyed the crispy plaice and belly pork, both of which were exceptional. The tomatoes that accompanied the plaice were surprisingly flavorful. The apple and berry crumble was also a hit. We met friends who traveled 30 miles to meet us in the middle, and we appreciated that we were not rushed and could relax and chat at our leisure. We look forward to returning in the future.

We thought we'd try another pub from the Pickled Egg Company having been to several of their venues already and we weren't disappointed. The plaice, pie and sole were all very good, as were the side vegetables and the ginger sponge dessert. A good looking well decorated, lively pub, ideal for Sunday luach.
