This is the best vegan restaurant I 've ever been to and I 've been vegan north of 20 years! They opened in 2011 and were the FIRST sponsors of Asheville 's very first Vegfest. During the height of the Pandemic they fed folks on a what you can pay basis on their patio. THEY raise the bar!
Absolutely phenomenal food and atmosphere. Our server, AJ, was so kind and helpful. They’re very responsive to allergies and will accommodate around them. Can’t wait to have another meal there soon! Updated as of 7/1 We came back for an anniversary dinner and we had Megan as our server. They were so wonderful and attentive. We really enjoyed our meal and experience. Cannot speak highly enough about Megan Plant!
Great gem for elevated veggie food! The appetizers, ravioli were wonferul. The take on chickn marsala was one of best I have had. Drink selection was nice with local brews and cocktails too!
Although we had a 7:00 reservation, we had to wait almost a half hour on a Thursday . When the waitress brought a drink in the waiting area not on the house for the wait) , she handed it without any napkin. I had to hold the left over rinds from the lime requested in my hand. The unisex bathroom had the seat up like it was a men’s bathroom with an overflowing waste basket. Half the plants ironic given the name) in the windows were half dead. When the waitress cleared my partner’s empty plate, mine was left behind despite being also completely finished even after she returned. My partner told them in advance that it was my birthday and they have a sign in front that specifically says to tell them if it is your birthday. I guess because we did not order a dessert, there was no birthday greeting or token candle. The waitress was lovely but the above mentioned items took away something from our experience. I was a waitress while in college so I know what good service means and all that a waitress has to juggle. I have been in many fine restaurants over the course of my life and this is my first experience of this kind. Given how rich in fat many of the dishes are, I would recommend bread or some kind of small toasted bread to accompany them. This is my first bad review of a fine restaurant ever. But as an entrepreneur myself, I would want to know about certain things such as at least first 3 mentioned.
Super delicious and creative. Salad was excellent. However, the two main courses we had were both super fatty and salty. I guess that's what they do in most restaurants to make food taste really good.If you're not used to eating very rich foods it might not be the best place for you. Small crowded space which is fine when the people 2 feet away on either side are friendly. Ironically, the house plants in the windowsill looked really unhealthy. Bathroom was not well attended. The front of the house staff were very nice and attentive. Almost every one of them had tattoos everywhere which boomers like us find very unattractive and don't really want to look at. Glad we tried it. Won't be going back.
