Mr.sushi South - Asheville

The service was lacking; an elderly Asian woman was doing all the work while a young white teenager provided no assistance. It was puzzling why the sushi didn’t taste good given the situation. Additionally, there was an overly talkative white man, who I wasn't sure was the host or the owner, monopolizing conversations with families who just wanted to enjoy their meal. Unfortunately, the sushi itself was a letdown. The rice was unappetizing and didn't resemble the sushi rice I've had at other restaurants. It had more of a brown rice texture, which was quite disappointing. I ended up spending $80, including the tip, and honestly, it felt like a waste of money. I wish I could go back in time and reconsider my visit to Mr. Sushi. It's especially disheartening because my first experience at this restaurant was great, and it's so conveniently located near my home. Overall, I wish I could get my money and time back from this experience—not to mention that it was just plain awful!

Yummy sushi, excellent service. Hibachi meat was tough and bland and the rice was a bit sticky. Im still giving 4 stars because of the great customer service here. They do offer dine in. Mandatory masks and social distancing are practiced here. They have cute little to go trays for the sushi!

This place was amazing! Kinda weird location in a gas station parking lot but don't let that make you second guess. The service was good, the food was amazing and great presentation. Lots of food for a great price! Definitely new spot to go for Sushi!

Although this restaurant may not seem like much from the outside, I've been here twice now, and the sushi is truly excellent! Every time I visit Asheville, I make it a point to stop by at noon.

Exceptional customer service and even more impressive food overall. This is definitely one of my favorite Japanese restaurants in Asheville! The owners are always very welcoming, and the prices are unbeatable. Thank you, Mr. Sushi!
